Monument Valley is located on the Colorado Plateau on the border of Arizona and Utah. Straddling both Arizona and Utah, it has been hailed as one of the world's most renowned geological wonders.

Arizona, the 48th state to be admitted to the Union, is located in the southwest of the United States. It borders New Mexico to the east, the United Mexican States to the south, California across the Colorado River to the west, Nevada to the northwest, and Utah to the north. With an area of 295,000 square kilometres, the state capital is Phoenix.

According to vegetation type, 10% of the state is forest cover, 25% is a woody community area, 25% is grassland, and 40% is a desert scrub area. The most common cactus in the desert is the columnar cactus, on which owls hide. Among the cacti, forests is a species of Old World boar that tolerates drought. There are also sand turtles, giant scorpions, vicious lizards, rattlesnakes, and fearsome venomous lizards.

The farther north Arizona goes, the higher the ground gets, the cooler the climate gets, and the rainfall increases. Other plants and animals appeared on the ground. There was grass, there were trees, there were deer, there were wild cats, there were coatis. The higher areas have forests.

Arizona is rich in minerals and is the largest copper-producing region in the United States. The main minerals are copper, gold, silver, oil, and so on. Copper output accounts for 50% of the country, the gold output is 5 million grams a year, and silver output is 35 million grams a year.

The state has 34 national parks, national forests, wildlife reservations, and other monuments. The main tourist areas are the Grand Canyon, colourful desert, petrified forest, and meteorite Crater.

The Monument Valley was mainly deposited by the deposits of the ancient Rocky Mountains and turned into sandstone. Later, due to the increasing pressure under the strata, the surface was fractured and uplifted, and the valley was gradually formed. This combined with millions of years of wind and rain has created this extraordinary landscape. Erosion and change in the valley are continuing, but very slowly.

Monument Valley is a cluster of giant sandstone peaks on the Colorado Plateau, the largest of which rises about 300 meters above the valley floor. The area is near the Four Corners of the northern state line of Arizona and the southern state line of Utah.
