Forests attract many tourists with their rich natural landscapes, good ecological environment, attractive wilderness, and unique health benefits. Especially, due to the deterioration of the environment and the booming development of health tourism, the development of forest tourism is in full swing.

The U.S. is a country where forest tourism began early; as early as the late 1950s, forest tourism in the U.S. had already reached a considerable scale. The signing of the "Forest Multi-Use and Sustainable Production Act" brought forestry in the United States into a new period of development, and the principle of multiple uses of forest resources has governed forest management in the United States. The U.S. Forest Service divided forest management into five major objectives: forest recreation, grazing, timber production, protection of water catchment areas, and wildlife protection. The development of forest recreation activities in the United States has brought great vitality to the U.S. forestry industry and improved its status. New Zealand is also one of the earliest countries in the world to carry out forest recreation; since 1919, when the first forestry director advocated forest recreation, there have been 91 years of history.

These 91 years, can be divided into four stages, namely: 1919 ~ 1939 for the founding stage; 1939 ~ 1942 for the stagnant stage; 1942 ~ 1975 for the creation and development stage; 1975 to the present for the development of the mature stage.

Washington Olympic National Park in the United States is the largest temperate virgin rainforest in the Western Hemisphere, located on the Olympic Peninsula in the northwest corner of Washington State, bordering the Pacific Ocean and about three to four hours from Seattle.

The park consists of snow-capped mountains, temperate rainforests, and seashores. From the warmth and humidity of the seashore to the cold of the mountains, visitors can experience the four seasons of the year and the corresponding natural ecology in one visit.

The total area of this national park is 3,628.54 square kilometres. Biological diversity, spectacular seaside scenery, flourishing rainforests, and the majestic Mount Olympus make the Olympic Park a fascinating place to visit.

The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, located in the provinces of Puntarenas and Alajuela in Costa Rica, is a paradise of trees and a green country.

Here you can feel what it means to be in the fresh air. The trees here are so lush that you can walk in and feel the heavy greenery overhead, blocking out almost all the light and giving you a sense of isolation from the world.

A suspension bridge is erected between the mountain stream and the lush trees, gently walking across from the date red suspension bridge, feeling that exciting sense of shock, feeling the sense of victory over fear.

In the construction of forest tourism infrastructure, whether it is accommodation, catering, entertainment, and other basic buildings, or signage, health, science, and education facilities construction, we should follow the principle of not destroying the natural ecology, not engaging in large digging and construction, as little as possible to occupy forest land or not to occupy forest land, and to achieve integration with the natural environment.

Under the premise of establishing scientific and reasonable tourism development, attracting social capital to participate in forest tourism development, making it clear that forest tourism must adhere to the principle of environmental protection first, and using mutual advantages to develop forest tourism in cooperation and win-win.
