When we set off to explore the Teton Range in Wyoming, our adventure became an unforgettable journey through some of America's most stunning landscapes.
The Tetons, a dramatic mountain range that rises abruptly from the Jackson Hole Valley, offer both exhilarating outdoor activities and breathtaking views.
Our first stop was Grand Teton National Park, the crown jewel of this region. We arrived at the park’s entrance, which is open year-round with no fee during winter and a $35 per vehicle fee from May through October. The iconic Teton peaks greeted us with their snow-capped grandeur, and we immediately set out on the scenic drive along Teton Park Road. This 42-mile route offered panoramic views of the mountains and access to key trailheads.
One of our favorite hikes was to Hidden Falls, a moderate 5-mile round trip from the Jenny Lake Visitor Center. The trail took us through lush forests and alongside shimmering streams before reaching the majestic falls. The visitor center, open from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM in peak season, also provided insightful exhibits about the park's natural history.
No trip to the Tetons would be complete without a sunrise visit to Mormon Row. This historic district features the famous barns with the rugged Teton peaks in the background—ideal for photography enthusiasts. We arrived early to catch the sunrise and were rewarded with stunning light illuminating the mountains and old structures.

Another highlight was a day spent at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. During the winter, the resort offers world-class skiing and snowboarding, with lifts operating from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. For summer visitors, the tram rides provide incredible views and access to high-altitude hiking trails. Lift tickets vary seasonally, but prices typically start around $120 per day.
We also indulged in a serene float trip down the Snake River. The guided tours, which run from April through October, were a peaceful way to experience the Tetons from a different perspective. We saw wildlife, like bald eagles and moose, and enjoyed the stunning river views with the Tetons looming in the distance.
In the evenings, we explored the charming town of Jackson. The lively town square, surrounded by wooden archways made of elk antlers, offered great dining options and unique shops. We dined at local favorites and soaked in the vibrant atmosphere.
