The original meaning of the word "Alps" is "mountain". Although the term differs due to language and cultural heritage, in Switzerland, the mountain villages outside the city are referred to as Alpine villages.

In all place names, especially in German-speaking areas, there are some village names suffixed with "Alp."

Typically, villages with such names indicate that they are situated at a higher altitude than ordinary villages. These places are often off the beaten track until they are discovered and loved by travelers.

It is precise because of their superior geographical locations that these villages have become paradises away from the noisy city. We can throw away our daily troubles and experience a sense of purity by visiting them.

Gutland

Under the Alps, there is a fresh and quiet small village named Gutland. There are beautiful mountains and clear waters, and the scenery is picturesque.

Spectacular waterfalls and grazing grasslands can be found here, but the beauty of the place cannot be described in words. It is simply paradise on earth.
