Hey, Lykkers! Are you ready to explore the breathtaking beauty of Grindelwald?

As we embark on this journey, let’s uncover some of the most stunning attractions this charming Swiss village has to offer!

Introduction to Grindelwald

Grindelwald is a picturesque village nestled in the Bernese Alps, known for its stunning views and outdoor adventures. This idyllic spot is not just a base for hiking and skiing; it’s home to some truly remarkable attractions that we simply can’t miss during our visit.

First Cliff Walk by Tissot

One of the most exhilarating experiences we had was at the First Cliff Walk by Tissot. This impressive walkway extends out over the cliffs, offering jaw-dropping views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Standing 2,200 meters above sea level, we felt a rush of excitement as we walked along the narrow path, with glass panels that let us see straight down to the ground below!

The First Cliff Walk is open year-round, with operating hours typically from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The ticket prices for the cable car ride to reach the cliff walk start at around CHF 32 for adults and CHF 16 for children. It's well worth the investment for the stunning views and unforgettable experience. We made sure to bring our cameras to capture the breathtaking scenery!

Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe

Another must-visit attraction is the Jungfraujoch, often referred to as the "Top of Europe." This breathtaking mountain pass can be accessed via a scenic train ride that weaves through the heart of the Alps. The journey itself was an adventure, with panoramic views of snow-capped peaks and lush green valleys. Upon reaching Jungfraujoch, we were greeted by a stunning glacier and a variety of activities.

The Jungfraujoch is open year-round, but it’s best to visit during the warmer months when the weather is more favorable for exploration. The ticket prices for the train journey vary depending on the season, typically starting at around CHF 100 for adults. We took time to explore the Ice Palace and enjoy the view from the observation deck, where the Aletsch Glacier stretched out before us. It was a truly magical moment!
