Mascara is one of those products that can completely transform a look — whether you’re going for soft and natural or bold and dramatic.
As someone with naturally long and thick lashes, I’ve tested quite a few to see which ones actually live up to the hype. Here’s my honest take on three mascaras that have been living in my makeup bag lately!

1. Heroine Make Long & Curl Mascara

This mascara is famous for its staying power and it truly delivers. It’s completely smudge-proof, even in humid weather, making it perfect for long days or special occasions. The downside? It’s very difficult to remove. You’ll need a strong waterproof eye makeup remover (the brand even sells its own for that reason). Still, the result is worth it — lashes look long, separated, and defined without clumping. It’s buildable, too, so you can go from natural to dramatic in a few coats.

2. Maybelline Falsies Lash Lift Mascara

If you want the illusion of false lashes without actually wearing them, this one’s a winner. The Maybelline Falsies Lash Lift gives instant lift and volume, making lashes look bold and full. It layers beautifully without getting too clumpy, and the effect lasts all day. The only small drawback is that it can start to flake if you touch or rub your eyes after several hours — but overall, it’s a solid pick for that lifted, fluttery lash look.

3. Maybelline Sky High Mascara

This one, unfortunately, didn’t live up to the hype for me. While it’s popular online, it didn’t do much in terms of adding length or volume to my already thick lashes. The formula felt a little too lightweight, and the difference before and after applying it was minimal. It’s not a bad mascara by any means — it just didn’t give the dramatic results I personally look for.
Each mascara has its strengths, but the Heroine Make Long & Curl takes the crown for definition and staying power, while the Maybelline Falsies Lash Lift delivers impressive volume and lift. If you prefer a more natural finish, Sky High could still work for a soft everyday look.
